During the 2025–2026 school year, against the backdrop of the war and several challenging years that have affected many teenagers emotionally, academically, and in their day-to-day functioning, MENIFA operated the “Wandering Eagle” Learning Center at the Givat Ram campus in Jerusalem.
The center serves teenagers who have not found their place within the traditional education system and need a different approach—one that is more personal, flexible, and tailored to their individual needs, allowing them to realize their abilities and potential.
Based on the understanding that not every young person who struggles within the existing system requires a welfare-based intervention, and that a traditional school setting is not always the right fit, the center provides a small, stable, and supportive educational environment. It combines learning in small groups with personal and social guidance and enrichment activities.
At the heart of the program is the understanding that teenagers going through periods of searching, transition, or crisis need not only freedom and choice, but also a responsible and meaningful adult who believes in them, recognizes their strengths, and helps them build a personalized path toward learning, growth, and progress.
In the 2026–2027 school year, the program will continue and expand with the opening of a “Wandering Eagle” program for girls, enabling MENIFA to provide a more tailored educational alternative for even more young people who need a different kind of framework—one that allows them to move forward, grow stronger, and fulfill their potential.
