“Personal Dreams” Mobile Workshops for Empowerment Education

Menifa’s innovative mobile workshops use a specially designed truck to deliver personal empowerment education for children, youth, parents and teachers.

The Hebrew word for “dreams” is an acronym for the goals of this program: education for strength and personal excellence. This motivational program delivers a sensory experience using virtual reality (VR) headsets to run interactive empowerment workshops to enhance participants’ abilities, self-image and self-confidence. It uses positive psychology techniques to encourage personal confidence and team work, and includes a computerized strengths diagnosis process.

These experiential activities take place in Menifa’s unique “Personal Dreams” truck, which is fitted with two colorful air-conditioned rooms. A team of experienced educators and therapists leads the conversation, encouraging participants to recognize their own strengths, showing them how to utilize these skills, and to focus on developing their strengths, rather than worrying about the challenges and hardships that they are dealing with. This process empowers participants to listen to their inner voice, understand their abilities, and improve their self-confidence, so they can function better in different situations. Our aim is to use this methodology to help children, youth, and adults to broaden their horizons, promoting entrepreneurship and creative thinking. At the same time, we encourage them to contribute to their community, by enabling them to take personal and social responsibility through experimentation, experience, and familiarity with the environment.

The program is flexible and can be adapted for different audiences from all sectors of Israeli society, with options for Hebrew, English and Arabic. The workshop activities are available in formats tailored to elementary middle and high school students, teachers, parents, and professional teams. They can also be customized for people experiencing crisis or trauma.
