Israel’s periphery suffers from lack of economic development which deeply affects the youth who live there. Bringing new professional skills to these youth such as STEM subjects and high tech has the ability to increase their socio-economic standing and bring them out of the cycle of poverty.
The JNF Houses serve as learning centers for high schoolers bringing the tools these students need to become successful members of society as citizens and eventually professionals. Menifa provides training and guides the staff on how to work with students at risk.
Menifa has operated this centers in partnership with JNF since 2018. Each day, there are supplementary classes in various subjects including Art, Science, Mathematics, English, Computer Science, and Physics. There are also enrichment activities such as surfing, hiking trips, and volunteer programs.
The Center is open every day from early morning until 8:00PM. Menifa professionals guide the students and teachers by monitoring their achievements, talking with them, and assisting the families.
