Social Dialog Apartment for Students struggling with Mental Health Challenges
A special supported apartment for female students studying at Ariel University that offers a personalized framework of social and educational support, to help students who are coping with emotional and/or mental challenges.
Students living in this apartment receive a program of social and educational support, including tools to deal with stress, and support from “Open Dialog” professionals to help them strengthen their emotional functioning and social integration, enabling them to experience a full student life.
What's in the apartment?
The apartment is designed for students who keep Shabbat and kashrut, and the program is culturally sensitive.
It is located within walking distance of Ariel University and the commercial center.
It is fully furnished and has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, living area, and private seating area for therapeutic activities.
Number of participants: 4-8 young women
Program suitability:
The apartment is suitable for students aged between 18-30 who are studying at Ariel University and who are struggling with mental health issues and social functioning. Conditions of acceptance include:
•Personal interview
•Suitability for the support program.
•Stable medication to enable basic social functioning.
•Summary of treatment from a care provider and discharge letter in case of hospitalization.
•No history of suicide.
•No acute behavior difficulties.
